add.a.lingua hearts teacher training

August training 2015

Last week we were honored to welcome over 160 dedicated dual language immersion instructors, administrators, policy makers, and point people for our August teacher training.

add.a.lingua is committed to connecting the best in language instruction research with practical classroom application through our professional development scope and sequence for administrators and teachers. It’s our passion to ensure each of our partner schools’ dual language immersion program is fully supported, continuously honing their craft, and delivering the highest quality program for the students and families they serve.

We’re grateful to Zeeland Christian School Principal Bill VanDyk and his team for their kind hospitality through out the event. Our keynote presenters, Dr. James Fahner and U.S. Congressman Bill Huizenga, both did a fine job helping to set the tone of the event and offered our instructors encouragement to keep up their good work. We’re also thankful for the presence of Rep. Amanda Price and Rep. Daniela Garcia who joined us for a special policy maker forum with area administrators on Wednesday morning to talk about challenges and opportunities facing dual language immersion programs.

For a look at the online conversation and more great photos from the event, check out our storify recap. If you’d like to learn more about bringing dual language immersion education to your school, or if you want to learn more about how add.a.lingua supports teachers with ongoing professional development and instructional support–drop us a line, and we’ll be in touch.
